It grows best in a warm, sunny environment and can be cultivated outdoors in southern regions. Drought tolerance: it can withstand continuous drought for 30 days, with well‑developed water‑storing tissues in its succulent stems. Temperature tolerance: optimal growth temperature is 18–32 °C; the minimum winter temperature should be kept above 10 °C. Light requirements: less than 3 hours of daily light causes legginess, and the bluish‑green skin fades to gray‑green.
