Description
Pachypodium brevicaule × densiflorum is a plant in the Apocynaceae family, belonging to the order Gentianales. It is found in the arid western regions of Madagascar and in barren environments such as karst limestone mountains. Its swollen stems store water to adapt to dry climates, and the spines on its surface combined with milky latex provide a physical and chemical defense mechanism. It flowers and bears fruit during the dry season to complete its reproductive cycle.
