Description
Ghost Horned Kirin Euphorbia zoutpansbergensis is a succulent plant in the spurge family, Euphorbiaceae, and belongs to the genus Euphorbia. It is only found in the Zoutpansberg (Soutpansberg) and Blouberg mountain ranges in the former Transvaal Province of Limpopo Province, South Africa, at elevations of about 1100–1500 m. It occurs on grasslands, sandy soils, ridges, and rocky hillsides. The Ghost Horned Kirin is hardy and easy to care for, with good heat tolerance. In summer, protect it from rain, give it some shade, and it will thrive; it can even be grown outdoors. However, long-term moisture in the potting soil can cause rot, so avoid damp conditions. In winter, when temperatures fall below 5 °C, stop watering and keep the potting soil dry; the plant can tolerate lower temperatures. Propagation is typically done by stem cutting.
