Description
Fengshou Euphorbia amygdalina (scientific name Euphorbia amygdalina) is a succulent plant of the Euphorbiaceae family, native to southern Africa and now widely cultivated in southern China. The plant is shrubby, with fleshy stems densely covered by red-brown conical spines on the ridges, 2–3 cm long; the leaves are reduced to spine-like structures. It prefers warm, ventilated conditions, with an optimal growth temperature of 18–30 °C, and winter temperatures should be kept above 5 °C. Watering follows the “dry thoroughly before watering” principle to avoid waterlogging and rot; if the potting soil has poor water absorption, a soaking method can be used. During the growing season, apply granular fertilizer every 7–10 days and keep the plant in full sun.
