Description
Tylecodon pearsonii is a plant native from Van Rhynsdorp in the Western Cape of South Africa to Karasburg in Namibia. It primarily grows on slopes and gravel zones dominated by siliceous rock grit. This plant loves sunshine; during its growing season from autumn to spring, it should be placed in a bright spot with direct sunlight. Insufficient light causes leaves and branches to become leggy, and roots to rot. As temperatures rise, leaves fall off and the plant goes into dormancy; at that time it should be moved to a moderately shaded, cool shelf. Watering should be done in autumn and spring, only after the soil has dried to a certain extent, to avoid overwatering. During dormancy, watering should only slightly moisten the soil surface or lightly spray the entire plant. Watering should be carried out on days with sustained warm weather.
